Our FREE Tree outline template. See the download below.
Steps:
Download the above PDF Template.
Start by colouring the outline of the tree trunk. Colour the tree trunk with a brown crayon, pencil, or oil pastel.
Prepare red, yellow, orange, and brown Star Tempera Paint on a palette or paper plate.
Dip your finger into one paint colour and start finger-painting some leaves on your tree's branches.
Be playful and use one finger or all of your fingers for painting. Explore all the colours in your palette to fill the tree with the vibrant hues of autumn leaves. It does no matter if some colours get mixed together.
Create a ground for your tree by finger painting at the base. Move your finger from side to side to spread out the paint. We used Star Tempera Orange and Brown.
Get imaginative and add fallen leaves on the ground or paint birds, clouds, or any other details you like to enhance your artwork.
Allow the paint to dry completely before proudly displaying your lovely autumn picture for all to see.
Conclusion: Finger painting an autumn tree is a delightful way for children to express their creativity while learning about the beauty of nature. With just a few simple materials and a lot of imagination, kids can create a stunning seasonal masterpiece that they'll cherish and be proud of. Happy painting!
